As the local leadership of your professional association, we are excited about sharing with you the pre-emptive strategic path we have taken, along with NAIFA-NYS, to both maximize our advocacy and outreach efforts on your behalf, and to provide you with enhanced programming and events by forming the NAIFA-Greater Metro Region.
 
What this means to you as a member…
  • Economies of scale will allow cost-sharing to access otherwise unaffordable speakers and programming.
  • Working with NAIFA-NYS, this new regional entity will be at the forefront of embracing a new technology driven strategic vision that contemplates advocacy efforts on a daily basis with legislators, regulators, the media and consumers through this region and the state.
  • CE programs will be run in multiple sites but come from a single-source provider.
Why is this change necessary...
The current economic and political climate threatens your profession and the very existence of the industry that secures your livelihood.
 
NAIFA, NAIFA-NYS, and NAIFA-Greater Metro Region finance, support and maintain an extensive, proactive and consistently successful advocacy system in Washington, D.C., throughout this state and in this region.

• Federal Healthcare Initiatives;
• New York State Healthcare Initiatives;
• Federal vs. State Regulation of Insurance;

• Taxation of Inside Build Up;
• Taxation of Death Benefit;
• Stranger Owned Life Insurance;
• NAIC Model Producer Act; and
• Advocacy to the Consumer to Change the Public Perception of Insurance Professionals
 
NAIFA-NYS and the NAIFA-Great Metro Region must continue to be a proactive, visible and relevant advocacy organization on behalf of our mission in support of the professional producer and his/her clients.
 
Together we have a moral obligation to inform our clients of the benefits related to the products they own, and any attack from federal and/or state legislators on those benefits. It’s time for us all to once again lead by example, be proud of who we are and equally proud of what our contribution and role is to the very fiber of American culture.
